All proceeds from this event benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Located in Milwaukee, Children's Hospital is one of the nation's leading regional pediatric medical centers. It is the only hospital in Wisconsin dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. In the past 17 years since Lakeshore Weekend first began, over $700,625 has been raised and donated to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin! In 2007, Lakeshore Weekend raised a total of $94,126 for the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Children's Hospital continues to treat an increasing number of children each year. Many children from the Lakeshore area are referred to Children's Hospital.

Last year over 1,900 visits were made to Children's Hospital by Manitowoc County families, and more than 4,400 by Sheboygan County families. Children's Hospital is a pediatric referral center for our local hospitals. Working in partnership with our local healthcare facilities and physicians they are able to treat injured and ill children-our own friends, relatives and neighbors.
